I am a Political Science doctoral student at Florida State University. My research lies at the intersection of political economy and national security with a focus on international security. I investigate why and how international economic constraints shape politics and policies in developing countries, especially with regards to national defense. Methodologically, I am interested in quantitative methods for the study of complex and dynamic interdependencies in political economy and comparative qualitative methods for policy outcomes.
Before joining FSU, I was Assistant Professor at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Argentina (UCA), and Latin America Project Lead for the Think Tank and Civil Society Program (TTCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania. Previously, I had the good fortune to work inside big impact policy institutions, working on everything from Education Policy (UEICEE) to Road Safety (ANSV) to Cybersecurity and Defense (UNDEFI).
I hope to couple my research and teaching interests with consulting to help officials, executives, and students to understand their environment to make decisions based on data, leveraging what I've learned from my 15 years of experience in public policy, research, and data analysis.
